ACID PLACID / 2025-
ACID PLACID is a Berlin-based Electronic / Noise / Spoken Word duo created by chansonnier-clubber Manu Louis (BE) and professional feedbacker Laure Boer (FR).
Driven by sequences one wishes would never end, Manu’s obsessive voice is here electrified by Laure’s intense textural world and her telephone calls.
Their tracks deliver messages that sail between anecdote and social critique, a rough and tumble journey that funks a lot and hurts a bit.
Both Laure and Manu, tireless explorers in their solo worlds, have released multiple albums and toured across Europe and Asia over the past decade. They’ve performed at Atonal, La Casa Encendida, Café OTO, Bimhuis, Tremor Festival and more. Their work has been featured by The Wire, Libération, BBC, NPR, France Culture, and they’ve collaborated with Mary Ocher, Sylvain Chauveau, Front de Cadeaux, Rabih Beaini, Tarek Atoui, and Miki Yui.
Their debut single Une longue file, mastered by Rashad Becker, pays tribute to clubbing’s least celebrated ritual: waiting in line.
